Care
Wipe clean with a mild soapy solution.
Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
For increased stability, re-tighten the screws about two weeks after assembly and when necessary.

My only comment is regarding the design of the point at which the legs attach to the bottom of the seat.
I believe there was a miscommunication between the design and factory team.
The legs of the chair are incorrectly attached to the horizontal support block (that is attached to the base of the seat), which in turn becomes the attachment piece rather than a chair's leg's supporting and angle stabilising block on which the seat is resting.
Due to the chair's legs being positioned at an angle the block provides 360 degree support at the base of the seat where it is most vulnerable to breakings. In order for it to perform its function it must fully and without alterations go through the block and the block then must attach to the base of the seat.

Kitchen or dining chair?Anonymous reviewerWe are very pleased with these chairs, which were delivered quickly as self-assembly 'flat packs', though, due to solid construction of the seats and backs, they are not quite 'flat packs'. However, the pictorial instructions are easy to follow and could be interpreted by a child. Each unit was assembled within minutes and no special tools are needed - everything required for assembly is supplied. The timber is clearly 'engineered', i.e. bits of wood cleverly and securely jointed. If this bothers anyone, the answer could be to disguise with paint or dye, but we feel there is no point in hiding this and we are very happy with the smooth finish to the wood. The chairs are comfortable and have slight shaping of the seat, whilst the back is angled to give long term comfort over a meal. So, they could be used in the kitchen, or in the dining room, as functionality wins over pretentiousness. IMHO SKOGSTA represents very good value for money - well done IKEA!
