Acacia has a rich brown colour and distinctive grain pattern. It is highly durable, resistant to scratches and water, ideal for heavy-use. Acacia slightly darkens with age.

Care
Wipe clean with a mild soapy solution.

Kitchen or dining chair?Anonymous reviewerWe are very pleased with these chairs, which were delivered quickly as self-assembly 'flat packs', though, due to solid construction of the seats and backs, they are not quite 'flat packs'. However, the pictorial instructions are easy to follow and could be interpreted by a child. Each unit was assembled within minutes and no special tools are needed - everything required for assembly is supplied. The timber is clearly 'engineered', i.e. bits of wood cleverly and securely jointed. If this bothers anyone, the answer could be to disguise with paint or dye, but we feel there is no point in hiding this and we are very happy with the smooth finish to the wood. The chairs are comfortable and have slight shaping of the seat, whilst the back is angled to give long term comfort over a meal. So, they could be used in the kitchen, or in the dining room, as functionality wins over pretentiousness. IMHO SKOGSTA represents very good value for money - well done IKEA!

Poor alignment of piecesAnonymous reviewerWe tried to assemble one of our four chairs but it was impossible to have the two leg sections flat on the bottom of the chair as the cross piece was too long. An assistant forced the pieces together but there was still a tilt on both of the leg sections against the bottom of the chair. We returned all four chairs and the accompanying cushions. Very disappointed.

Great everyday kitchen chairAnonymous reviewerWe found them easy to assemble, less than 5 minutes a chair. They are comfortable after 2 weeks of use. I will review them again once they have had a few months of use and gone through temperature changes in the house. The only thing they really need is a well fitting cushion with a washable removable cover which ike don’t seem to have. So far, very happy with them for the price.
