The texture imitates velvet but it is too rough, too stiff, thin, and attracts all sorts of lint or dust particles that stick to it like velcro. The fabric also prone to wrinkles, which cannot be smoothed over even after a while of being used. The general touch and feel of the cushion is unpleasant which defeats the purpose of a cushion in the first place. Nice idea, poor execution.2
