Awful..totally unreliable Anonymous reviewerBought to add light to wardrobe interior. Works intermittently. Cheap and poor quality. Expected better from IKEA.1
Charge doesn't last longAnonymous reviewerHaving them on during cooking and meal time effectively means we have to charge them every day. 1
Broke after 2 minutes Anonymous reviewerI bought these hoping they would be a great downlighter. I put new batteries in, however they stopped working after 2 mins. Very disappointing 1
Really good light!Anonymous reviewerThey are very simple to assemble. I don't really understand why people have a problem with it. You just put batteries in, charge it if you have rechargable ones, switch them on at the back and use. As simple as that.5
A little bulky for what I needed....Anonymous reviewerThey ended up being a little bulky for what I needed them for, I found that you could see too much of them in my units. I do find the on dim off buttons a little temperamental. The on dim and off seem too close to gauge and it's usually on or off. They are now in my kitchen under the cupboards, charging does not last long on mine so they are plugged in lots. A question below says something about saving energy and as I say they are more plugged in than not.4
Patience Needed (it seems)Anonymous reviewerInitially I had problems with it and thought I had the same problems many were claiming. BUT all it needed was a bit of patience. I left it charging the batteries and low and behold, after doing that it worked fine after taking the lead off. It threw me at first as I had chargedf the 3 batteries before I put them in the light.4
UselessAnonymous reviewerSo upset. Thought these would be perfect for around my dressing mirror, have stuck them to my newly painted wall and they have gone off after 2 minutes of being switched on with brand new batteries. Never even finished the cleanser on my face let alone a whole routine. Really hope they don't ruin my walk coming back off. 😟1
RubbishAnonymous reviewerDoesn’t work. Works when you lay it on it’s back on the worktop, but every time you hang it up it refuses to work.1
USB charged lightsAnonymous reviewerThese strip lights were easy to install with the supplied self adhesive pad fixing. They are usb charged. However the charge doesn’t last very long and need to be removed each time for charging3
Didn’t stick to surfaceAnonymous reviewerI bought these to go under a beam and although they stuck initially one by one they fell off.1
Kitchen lights Anonymous reviewerA good all round light which we have used under our kitchen units. Can be powered by mains or rechargeable batteries. 5
Really good light Anonymous reviewerThis was brilliant for above a make up mirror 5
Strip light for wardrobe Anonymous reviewerLight difficult to switch on and off
Never held a charge very long1
Not very durableAnonymous reviewerThe first light we bought did not work properly soon after charging for the first time. It just turned out itself when being shook very lightly.
We went to change for a new one, but the power doesn't last long. Maybe it'd be better to choose batteries with a higher charge.
The on/off button is also not that sensitive, which needs to be touched a few times to get switched on.
The brightness of the light seems to be the only good feature. 1
I want my money backAnonymous reviewerI've bought last year and I though I didn't know how to use it!! Just works when connected by cable, which is useless.
After carefully reviewing all the details today, same issue remains. Using 3 new batteries, it's almost impossible turn in/off using the dimmable buttons, so I suppose this could be one of the faulty elements.1
Needs improvement but great potential Anonymous reviewer I would have given it a 5 star, I love the light intensity and colour, the fact that it's not necessary to connect it to a cable and that it also works with batteries. I love the design but it would be great to have the same model in black (please?!)
I was a bit concerned by the reviews saying that it consumes batteries in minutes but I used 3 non chargeable Duracell and they're working for now (day 2) the big issue is that it's flimsy and the light turns off within seconds and it's very tricky to have it stay on. This doesn't happen when the light is connected to the cable, so it must have to do with the batteries slot. my guess is that it's a millimeter (or a fraction thereof) larger or longer than it should be and so the batteries don't stay perfectly in place. Or it could be a conduction issue.
Either way, it's a bummer cause I really like this one so ..can you get it fixed asap!?!!! (And make a black version as well).
I'm giving it a 3 for now.
Thx3
Awful - give them a missAnonymous reviewerI bought 3 of these and they were all awful - the sticky pads don't stick consistently and the lights worked only briefly and were then unresponsive. Will be returning and looking for a refund - please don't waste your money.1
Very PoorAnonymous reviewerI should have taken note of the reviews. I wanted to use this as a cupboard light. I used rechargeable batteries. When you turn it on it flashes and switches off. The on switch is like a much switch and it's not clear what it's doing. Only works when plugged in but even cable connection seems flimsy. I would of returned but I binned all the packaging. Honestly don't waste your money.1
Bad quality and poor designAnonymous reviewerI think IKEA should recall this product. What is the purpose to put the on/ off switch at the back? The soft touch button has been put on the area that is so easy to turn on accidentally. Most importantly, it took ages to charge the battery but it won’t be turned on after 1 day. I would give no star if there is a choice.1
Ideal choice as Wardrobe lightAnonymous reviewerEasy to attach on the interior of the wardrobe. USB port design made me easy to recharge the light.5
