Great item, but I have had one splitAnonymous reviewerA really handy tool for breaking up food in the wok, unfortunately I have had one split after just a few uses so it had to be binned. However as it was only £1.50 I just bought a replacement.
Too wide IMO unlessAnonymous reviewerToo wide at the scraping edge unless you use it in a very large wok which would have a gentler curve than the average home wok to its walls thanks to a bigger diametre (and this tool's handle is definitely solid enough to be able to stand up to an oversized task!) BUT if you are even a tiny bit handy and own a power sander, 10 minutes makes short work of narrowing its width at the scraping edge (I rounded the sides in so that it becomes a bit closer in shape to the flat bottom spoon IKEA also sell but which is currently short in stock for home delivery, I hope it comes back!).
GreatAnonymous reviewerThis is a great spatula. Easy to use. Easy to wash. Really good shape for scooping out of a pan. Happy with my purchase.
SpatulaAnonymous reviewerDoes the job
Great utensilAnonymous reviewerIdeal for separating mince when cooking it , and breaking up pieces of meat etc when cooking . Tough solid item
Split within 2 months, poor build quality Anonymous reviewerThis wooden spatula develops cracks on its main surface over time, which can trap food particles. Cleaning these cracks often requires sharp tools, which can worsen the damage and cause the cracks to expand. In my case, this eventually led to the spatula breaking.
Spilt after first useAnonymous reviewerUsed once when making a curry and the end spilt.
Warped! Great idea. Poor qualityAnonymous reviewerI would pay double the price for a wooden scoop/paddle that did the job.
Good value for moneyAnonymous reviewerQuality is average, but the price is reasonable.
Makes me feel like a proper cook.Anonymous reviewerLooks good, a bit thick for turning food in the pan but useful for stir fry type things.
Didn't know I needed one!Anonymous reviewerSaw this and thought I'd give it a try.
Glad I did!
It doesn't scratch the pots. It sits comfortably in the hand and makes stirring hot food in the pan a breeze (ideal for someone with arthritis).
Only negative is it does absorb the colours from the food being cooked (i.e. passatta), but at this price..... who cares!
Wish I'd bought more!
Slightly wider than I would like...Anonymous reviewer...but can't argue with the price and it feels very solid.
Excellent product. Robust. Well finished.Anonymous reviewerExcellent product. Robust. Well finished.
Excellent Jar and wooden spoonsAnonymous reviewerExcellent Jar and wooden spoons will be back for more.
