Reviews

Poor quality Anonymous reviewerWe bought it for Xmas matching with the jigsaw. It has a wooden frame behind to support the board. However, the wooden support frame broke the first time we tried to put the jigsaw in. We ended up to buy another one on Amazon which was even cheaper with better quality. This one doesn’t worth the price or match with the standard quality I thought IKEA would have. 1
PerfectAnonymous reviewerPerfect size and style for the poster we had. Like the addition of the little clip bits that will hopefully stop the frame warping out of shape.5
Picture PerfectAnonymous reviewerPurchased a few RÖDALM frames to put some prints in to inspire me to do more lino prints in the future. Perfect picture frames for my needs, excellent price!5
poor quality and flimsyAnonymous reviewerI was shocked at the poor quality of these frames. they looked ok when they arrived but when opened the corners were smashed and broken. They are just very flimsy. I used to buy RIBBA which was the best frames in my opinion.1
Absolutely awful, don't buy!Anonymous reviewerI bought a batch of these to sell with printed images -- the build quality is shocking and not only does the frame bend but the plastic pops out constantly if you dare touch it. Awful, please avoid!1
Lovely FramesAnonymous reviewerGreat size frames they look lovely on the wall great value.5
DisappointedAnonymous reviewerHave several RIBBA frames and was recently looking for another one but unfortunately discontinued so took the RODALM..think the RIBBA was more superior and now my frames look slightly different as the card inside is a different size ..much preferred the RIBBA please bring it back1
Easy to use and simple to hangAnonymous reviewerYou don’t need instructions to put a picture in these frames, it’s simple, just undo the back and fixtures, place your picture in and secure in reverse. The back has two fitted attachments already in either landscape or portrait ready to hang up. All you need to provide are the hooks to place the frame onto!5
PerfectAnonymous reviewerBought for Xmas to put our children’s school photos in for family. They are spot on. Would buy again.5
Large frame transforms roomAnonymous reviewerGreat picture frame, well built and great value for money5
FrameAnonymous reviewerI don’t understand the plastic front rather than glass, it has a print on it so how do l remove the writing ?4
Pretty and non-fussy frameAnonymous reviewerExactly what I wanted, simple and pretty - but shows off the picture inside well. Sturdy and easy to use.5
Rodalm photo frameAnonymous reviewerThis product was bought as a gift for a friend .It is a well priced and practical photo frame and perfectly suitable for a mantelpiece location .5
Sizing is misleadingAnonymous reviewerI bought this frame to fit a 40 x 50 print - what Ikea don’t tell you is due to the lip of the frame the actual visible space that you’ll see through the opening is smaller than 40 x 50 cm so if your print runs to the very edge it will be cut off by this frame3
Great - light and good qualityAnonymous reviewerI needed frames for 2 posters and needed them to be light. The mounts aren't very good, I had to have them remade for my 50x70 posters, but the frames are exactly what I expected.5
Rodalm frame with mountAnonymous reviewerJust what I was looking for. Great quality and looks very stylish5
Brilliant photo frameAnonymous reviewerVery impressed with this product, they are superb and so well wrapped as well. The plastic sheet has a cover on both sides, which i was very impressed with.5
RÖDALM picture frameAnonymous reviewerA nice simple well priced frame that looks good on the wall.4
FrameAnonymous reviewerPerfect…. This is what I needed !5
Great value framesAnonymous reviewerI use these a lot to frame my own art work. They are very good value and the Perspex means they are lighter than glass frames. It’s good having two options of where to place the paintings (in front or behind the spacers) too.5

RÖDALM Frame, white, 30x40 cm

Give your art the attention it deserves

Frames not only protect your photos and memories. They’re also good when you want to add the finishing touch to your interior. With RÖDALM, there are as many possibilities as there are motifs. You can use the frame to give your favourite painting or picture both more depth and the attention it deserves.

“Hanging something on the wall is a simple trick when you want to create a more homely feel or tie the interior in a room together,” says Andreas Fredriksson, the designer behind RÖDALM, a family of frames in different sizes, colours and wood expressions.

Create a new dimension at home

RÖDALM has simple and clean lines that work well with different types of interiors. The deep profile draws the eye but has a practical function too. “You can place the motif directly against the plastic front or further back to create depth and a 3D effect. If you have a photo, you might want to have it in the very front, but an artwork on watercolour paper with a slightly handmade feel, is nice to place further back in the frame to emphasize the paper texture and give the motif more life,” suggests Andreas.

Be bold, be yourself

”We have also reinforced the back of RÖDALM to make it durable and prevent the frame from warping. That’s good if you change addresses often or enjoy refurnishing,” explains Andreas. He believes the pictures people hang on their walls can give clues about their lives and who they are, but how you choose to frame them can also be revealing. ”I enjoy creating collages using frames in various sizes and styles on a small wall surface, for example, old ornate flea market frames together with a modern frame like RÖDALM.” Then, the actual motif becomes less important, and a simple brushstroke on a beautiful piece of paper can be enough. “In the end, what’s important is not necessarily what you choose to hang on your walls, but that you put something up that feels like you.”

Material

What is fibreboard?

Fibreboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.
