Below average quality applianceAnonymous reviewerI've had one of these for around 8 years or so. From the outset it wasn't great. Was very difficult to install and get to the right level to work in my integrated kitchen, ended up sitting it on top of some bricks(!). The door has stuck a bit since day one. The layout is not amazing. It also goes through periods of just not washing things well enough. Heating recently went on it, so I'm replacing. Won't be buying one from ikea again.2
Decent enough but 6 years is about its lifespanAnonymous reviewerAs above really. Competent machine but not easy to fix. Replacement part would have been about 200 quid and no guarantee of long life after that.3
GREAT DISHWASHERAnonymous reviewerThis is the second Rengöra integrated dishwasher I’ve bought from Ikea due to this being the second Metod kitchen I’ve bought and fitted. The quality of this unit is superb and it is so easy to install by following the fitting and installation instructions.
Using the dishwasher is a breeze with simple yet comprehensive control buttons which are very intuitive.
The wash quality is excellent if the dishwasher is packed sensibly and its capacity is suitable for a full day of family dishes. The removable cutlery rack is well thought out and can cope with a full day of family cutlery.
At the end of the wash, the door opens automatically which is a bit spooky at first but very clever as it allows the dishes inside to dry more efficiently.
Overall this is an excellent machine with well thought out and efficient functions. I’d happily buy and install this dishwasher again in my next kitchen5
DishwasherAnonymous reviewerU fortunately had a fault in first couple of weeks4
Rengora needs smaller dinner plates!Anonymous reviewerDishwasher cleans really well but normal size dinner plates of 10 and half inch do not fit. The rotor arm hits them so you can't stack them in the bottom. Even ikea dinner plates don't fit so we now have to search for smaller plates! 3
AdequeteAnonymous reviewerOurs has just finally died after 10 years. Repair person couldn't find the leak responsible for its demise.
So plus point is it's lasted ten years.
Minus points...
– The top section is too high, and bottom section too low, so there's no space for big plates without bashing into the spinning spray arm
– The quality is so-so: we've needed to replace the cutlery basket, rubber pieces for holding glasses broke after about 5 years, and some of the plastic over the racks has degraded, leaving bare metal that has scratched pans
– it's needy: we had to replace / upgrade the pump after a few years (the repair person said that was common on IKEA dishwashers he'd seen), the filters often need cleaning, something that's much worse if you don't run it on the hottest setting each time.
– it's limited: looks like the upgrade has a few new settings, but ours only really has four programmes, and most of these are redundant as only the hottest setting means the filters don't get clogged with grime 3
dose exactly what it says on the tinAnonymous reviewer....5
2nd Purchase of this dishwasherAnonymous reviewerCleans well, easy to use, only downside is most of the cycles are very long4
It works, but I really dislike itAnonymous reviewerThis was an integrated dishwasher purchase, our first, after having free-standing units before. Internally it is much more cramped than the unit it replaced - our old dishwasher had far more space inside. It was a pain to install and I would advise anyone not to have an integrated dishwasher like this.3
Bought as a replacement for my previous Rengora dishwasher but was surprised to see some internal items slimmed down to presumably cut costs.Anonymous reviewerA good basic dishwasher reasonably priced. Internal fittings somewhat cut down. For example only one knife tray as opposed to two on the earlier model. I am a big Ikea fan but would not like to see items paired back.4
Broke down after 9 years Anonymous reviewerDecent dishwasher but stopped working after 9 years3
Good but doesn't lastAnonymous reviewerWe have liked this machine, especially the open door to dry function. However, we purchased in September 2018 and it's broken this week beyond worthy repair. Today we've spent over £150 on a part and engineer, which would be fine had it worked, but it hasn't and so we must now make the decision to replace it. The costs to keep trialling different things is not worth it, gutted we're money down to get to that point. Gutted I didn't go with a cheap model 6 years ago. A £450 dishwasher should last longer than 6 years.3
One to avoidAnonymous reviewerPurchased the dishwasher, and had both of the door arms fail within warranty. IKEA blaming Hotpoint/Whirlpool and vice versa, ultimately with us doing exhaustive legwork leading absolutely nowhere.
Best just to skip this one and save yourself the headache.1
Terrible leg designAnonymous reviewerI’ve made the mistake of buying 2 of these and on both the back stabilising leg has broken. It’s such an utterly terrible design. So flimsy and poorly conceived. If they’re going to have this ridiculous corkscrew leg at least make it out of something more robust. I’ve now got to build a stand out of wood to try and prop up the back of my dishwasher and waste another day of my life fixing an appallingly designed appliance 1
InexpensiveAnonymous reviewerThis dishwasher only has one support leg in the middle at the back and two at the front. It is made of plastic and is very hard to reach when installing it under the worktop. The weight of the dishwasher I would have expected the appliance to have 4 legs5
DishwasherAnonymous reviewerA problem with closing bottom tray closing, catches on left runner when full, prevents me giving this product more than 2 stars2
