Not terrible but not worth £60Anonymous reviewerBought mainly because of the vinyl wipe down cover. Make sure to watch the video regarding how to lock and unlock the back with the height lever, it's easy to accidentally tap it in. It does the job but the padding is thin and it generally feels flimsy considering the price. I would recommend this for light use, maybe an hour or so a day.3
Not bad but IKEA have missed out on comfortAnonymous reviewerI was drawn to this chair online and decided to check it out in-store. Whilst it looks great online, the main issue is the backrest—it has very little padding, so your back tends to sink in, which isn’t ideal for posture or long hours at a desk. Over time, you may also start to feel the metal frame through the backrest, which could be uncomfortable, especially if you’re taller. It’s surprising this wasn’t more noticeable when sitting. The seat base is comfortable, and the clever storage of components in the back is a nice touch. However, if your priority is comfort during extended work sessions, this probably isn’t the ideal chair. That said, it’s compact and works well in small spaces.
For greater comfort, I’d totally recommend the MILLBERGET, which offers thicker padding on both the seat and backrest, along with padded armrests. If you only need a chair for shorter sessions, though, this could work fine. That chair is a significant step-up to this one.4
Good office chair but doesn’t lastAnonymous reviewerI buy these chairs for a student house I rent out. They look the part, but are very firm ( lacking padding) in the seat. They’re good value for money I suppose but they don’t last well. The surface of the seat surface wears off fairly quickly - sometimes after only 2 years, which is a shame, as I then need to replace an otherwise sound chair. It’s not environmentally sound to do this, I’d happily replace the seat if possible. Or maybe IKEA could look at a more robust seat? O3
Good chairAnonymous reviewerWorks well, no concerns4
1 year later…Anonymous reviewerBeen using this chair for a year, so I think this is a reliable review. I had no issues with it when I first bought it, but it only took about 2-3months for the seat to completely sink in. I don’t work from home, but when I’m not working, I’m at home at my desk about 2 hours everyday on average, so it’s not like I’m using it lots everyday. The back rest had started sinking back too after about 2-3months and after a year when I sit on it I can feel all the metal bits on the seat & back rest. Considering the price, I had hoped this would last longer than the 2-3 months. I only still have this because I can’t afford a new chair yet. 1
Great chair for the moneyAnonymous reviewerThis chair was relatively cheap compared to some of the other office chairs but it’s very sturdy and was straightforward to put together. Good value for money. 5

Nice looking chair, terrible comfortAnonymous reviewerI am only 27 (as reference to back pain) and work from home 2/3 times a week, this chair I thought was a good purchase at first with its aesthetic - however, I now have severe lower back pain after sitting on it for 3 days this week. Not happy at all.1
