The sturdy solid wooden frame is both stained and lacquered for durability and to allow the natural wooden texture to shine through.

This chair cover is made of a cotton and linen fabric with a smooth surface and a natural look in a neutral colour.

The chair cover is easy to keep clean as it is removable and can be machine washed.

    Care

    Frame

    Wipe clean with a mild soapy solution.

    Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

    For increased stability, re-tighten the screws about two weeks after assembly and when necessary.

    Removable cover

    Machine wash, max 40°C, normal process.

    Do not use optical brighteners.

    Do not bleach.

    Do not tumble dry.

    Iron, max 150°C.

    Professional dry cleaning in tetrachloroethene and hydrocarbons, normal process.

Designer thoughts

When designing PINNTORP series, I looked to Swedish 19th century furniture tradition, a time when resources were scarce and clever use of materials was needed. For the chair, I tested different angles of the backrest for optimal comfort. I was going to add spindles but found that the chair was just as comfy without. Smart use of materials created a distinct look and the series’ red and wood tones also pay tribute to this period – ready to spread warmth and beauty in your home.
