Adjustable hinges allow you to adjust the door horizontally and vertically.

Glass doors keep your favourite items free from dust but still visible.

Knobs included.

1 door will fit BILLY bookcase 40 cm and 2 doors will fit BILLY bookcase 80 cm.

Can be used on the corner unit only if the shelf next to it has no doors.

The door does not fit bookcases purchased in the spring of 2014 or earlier.

Good looking door. The handlesVerified BuyerGood looking door. The handles were a bit basic but we have replaced these. Might be an idea to attach the handles with a nut and bolt so if you want to change them you don't need to drill the hole through. That said it was very simple to do4

Looks great, nice qualityVerified BuyerWe bought this door to fit onto a 60cm deep Billy bookcase, which we have stood next to two Kallax units. It is the main display in our living room and it looks fantastic! We put two brass D-shaped handles on the doors, which also look lovely. Just be careful when screwing in the handles, as it hand cause the wood to tear. But other than that easy to assemble and really nice looking.5

The finishing touchNGDaysThese doors make all the difference to Billy Bookcases! Our only complaint is the silly little knob supplied. We go nicer ones from Homebase. Easy to fit although adjustments not so easy as normal cabinet hinges.5

The wrong holesElektric WorksI love this product. It’s converted a 9 year old half width Billy Bookcase into a fabulous display cabinet. I also replaced the shelves with glass shelves and used some IKEA LED lighting. Only down side is that the holes which I was supposed to fix the hinges in the Billy Bookcase were non existent in my old Billy. The problem was fixed with a drill and some careful making out. A minor IKEA hack, but that’s all part of the fun!5

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
