Great cabinet, two minor negativesAnonymous reviewerRead the reviews first and knew I had to find a bigger knob ( reviews were right, the one it came with is ridiculously small and not fit for purpose). Also realised it came with only 2 legs and should lean against a wall… We wanted four legs and the website suggested the extra set of legs to buy - but when they came they were totally different size! And non- adjustable! Much better quality than the plastic ones supplied and an inch or so taller so we fitted those instead and used brackets to hold the cabinet to the wall… 2 small things let down an otherwise good quality cabinet …
Needs better doorknobsAnonymous reviewerThe cupboard itself is fine, it does the job. It has moveable shelves so you can reposition them to make smaller or bigger gaps. The handle on the door is pretty useless, the door itself is relatively too heavy for the handle so it's very awkward to open, especially as the knob is difficult to grip onto too. I'm going to buy my own handle and replace it, I can't keep this one on.

tight fitting shelves and small handleAnonymous reviewerEasy to assemble and looks ok when completed. Definitely needs to be fitted to the wall as the hinges are quite firm and so needs a little effort to open the door which causes it to pull away from the wall at the top. Door handle is way too small, and in my opinion not fit for purpose. Shelves are a very tight fit. All other Ikea items I have ever had (which has been many) had shelves that just dropped into place nicely. On this item I had to tap them quite firmly to make them fit. Fortunately, I do not foresee having to move the shelves. On a separate issue I saw the item on display in Ikea Edinburgh with two Risatorp wire baskets inside it, so i bought two to go with mine, only to find they do not fit! Ikea do not sell anything similar so i am not mistaken in what i saw and bought, unless the display ones were old stock and a slightly different size to those on sale. Baskets are quite funky, so may well find another use for them, though like as not will return them at some point.

Neat and easy to assembleAnonymous reviewerWe needed a narrow cabinet to fit between the doorframe and the shower cabinet and this is perfect. Easy to assemble, instructions ok if you know what you are doing. We didn't bother fitting the so called handle as it's way too small to be of any use. Using the cupboard without a handle until we find something suitable.

What is particleboard?
Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
