Stylish but cost cutting = poor design choiceAnonymous reviewerThis a nice looking lamp BUT the base unit connects to the lower upright by a bayonet style fixture. It's a dreadful design and a poor design choice as any rotation of the lamp causes the bayonet friction fit to loosen. It's not just that the upright becomes unstable the base easily drops off. They should have had a beefy threaded bolt fixing instead. All to save a few pennies

Great reading lightAnonymous reviewerThis gives a very good light for reading, sewing and other close up work. It is flexible to suit height and also easy to move closer to your book or whatever. I bought one for the sitting room and was so pleased, I returned to Ikea to buy one to slip behind my headboard in my bedroom which gives great light. I like the way it is easy to switch on/off at the head of the lamp and there is no fumbling along the wire for a switch. I would definitely recommend.
