The second one appeared to be better but did the same over the space of a week. It’s not like either of them got wet so it’s disappointing this happened. DO NOT BUY!Anonymous reviewerWhen this board gets wet it leaks purple liquid, which has stained our worktops. I’ve never had this with any chopping board so I don’t know what this has been treated with, but this product really should be recalled.
The texture also went very rough very quickly and the wood itself is going black in the gaps that have formed. But all this is overshadowed by the fact that if you do not dry it instantly, it will likely stain your worktop. A truly awful product. I’d be tempted to burn it come November if I wasn’t afraid of whatever it’s been treated with. I would give this zero stars if I could.1

Chopping boardAnonymous reviewerWe bought this board last week, upon washing it, a lot of the dye came out into the sink. When it dried out the board did not have the same smooth finish and gloss and the wood was left rough and untreated. We saw there was a wood liquid we could buy separately but wasn't sure if the chemicals would transfer over to the food. If you can advice on the treatment or if I can return the item with just the receipt, it will be appreciated it.1

Dreadful. Cheaply made, expensive to buy.Anonymous reviewerI've had a number of different chopping boards from Ikea over the years and have had no worries over the quality so I didn't mind paying £15 for this one. What a mistake! The quality is the worst I have ever seen, it's very cheaply machined and has had no finishing work done at all, it's extremely rough on both surfaces and the edges are vicious with splinters. It also leaks brown stain all over whatever surface it is on which is extremely difficult to clean up. This piece of rubbish is going in the bin and I won't be buying any more chopping boards from Ikea.1
