Fantastic budget bedAnonymous reviewerDoesn't look too fancy/pretty, but if you're on a tight budget it's the best you can get. Cheap, but study, doesn't squeak, relatively easy to make, although I wish parts were numbered because they look very similar and it's super easy to get them wrong and have to dismantle it and start again 😅 Enough room underneath for storage. The bed does smell of pine for a while after building, so if you're bothered by strong scents, you might want to air it out or something before building it, idk 😅5
Confusing assembly instructionsAnonymous reviewerI wanted a low-priced basic bed, but was not expecting the assembly instructions to be so confusing.4
Creaky Anonymous reviewerVery squeaky and unsturdy despite tightening everything 2
Mattress slipsAnonymous reviewerI have the double version of this and it’s fine apart from the fact that the bottom pillow is always stuck in the gap in the headboard. However bought the single version for my son and not only did his pillow get stuck in the gap, his mattress doesn’t stay put either! It’s a good bed but maybe that gap needs to be addressed and a higher lip to hold the mattress in.4
Value for moneyAnonymous reviewerEasy to construct, excellent value for money and a good bed for children.5
Cheap and easy to assemble but wobbly and creakyAnonymous reviewerAssembling this bed frame was pretty easy. It is held together by dowel pegs and screws. Once I had constructed the bed frame the bed would creak (or make a noise approximating a creak) whenever I sat or lied on it. How long it will hold up I do not know but I don't think the dowel pegs/dowel joints are very well constructed, as some are very very tight (requiring a hammer to insert) but some are very loose, with the adjoining planks coming apart very easily. It is also quite easy to embed screws into the wood and damage/split the wood, so be sure not to over tighten the screws. Unfortunately, this was not specified in the instruction manual. Overall I think I would prefer to buy a higher quality solid wood bed frame elsewhere, one that has glued together joints. For the price though, one cannot complain.3
Excellent bedAnonymous reviewerVery light just what we needed5
assembly looks easy but notAnonymous reviewersome description is not user friendly and difficult to follow, even with illustrations4
BargainAnonymous reviewerThis bed offers exceptional value for such a good product. Easy to assemble, took us about an hour. Perfect for the spare bed.5
Good value.Anonymous reviewerA simple but smart product that can easily be painted or varnished if required. Easy to put together and a good size.5
Bed for spare roomAnonymous reviewerExcellent and well put together bed.5
Great bedAnonymous reviewerWe've had two of these for about 5 years. They are wonderful and we have never had a problem with either of them. Our children have found them to be very comfortable. Our 13 year-old has just grown out of hers.5
Great quality for the price. Anonymous reviewerSmall package, easy to build, strong and real wood - you can’t argue with it. 5
sturdy basic bedAnonymous reviewersturdy basic bed easy to assemble and good quality5
A Great Budget BedAnonymous reviewerA budget bed but strong and easy to paint to your own colour scheme with space underneath for storage. 5
Basic but sturdyAnonymous reviewerVery basic but very cleverly designed to be very sturdy. Perfect for our spare room. Good clearance for storage boxes underneath.5
Perfect for the priceAnonymous reviewerThis is a basic bed frame, no bells or whistles. It does the job and is cheap (Ikea appear to have increased the price since we bought it). It is Pine, so it is solid wood but very light. If you want to, you could stain it in a colour of your choice. We used this for the guest bedroom and it's perfect there.5
Does the job for visiting grandchildren Anonymous reviewerThis bed is cheap, so don't expect anything special. However, if you follow the instructions carefully you'll find that the seemingly flimsy parts build quite a sturdy bed. Be sure to use the handy extender tool supplied with the screws etc. The assembled bed is pretty ordinary to look at, but the important thing is that the grandchildren find it comfortable and there have been no issues with noisy slats. My advice would be to purchase one of the better quality mattresses to pair with it.3
I recommend this product.Anonymous reviewerHappy to shopping with IKEA.5
It’s very fragile Anonymous reviewerReally affordable and a great size for children’s bedrooms, however, the beds are very fragile! One broke within the second week, the other broke after 2 months.
