Short lifespanAnonymous reviewerReally liked the look of this lamp for my work desk. It didn't take up much space, but was a cosy warm light. Sadly, the bulb cannot be replaced, and it didn't last anywhere near 20 years. I used it for a few hours a day through the winter last year, and it hasn't been used all summer. Now it is a grey day I have put it on, and the light is dim and flickering. Such a shame.
Short lived product - very disappointing and wastefulAnonymous reviewerThis is a great lamp for what I wanted it for. It takes up little space and I love that I can bend it to where I need the light. However, the bulb only lasted about 2 years and cannot be replaced. Apparently it's supposed to last 20 years. I only used it for about 20 minutes maximum per day for 2 years and that was that. Ikea provided a replacement for me free of charge (thank you) but the same thing has happened again now, after only 2 years. I just wish the bulb could be replaced but it seems a lot of these kinds of lamps have these sealed units - so wasteful. It's such a shame because I really liked it. I won't be buying a third time.

Disappointing Anonymous reviewerBought this but after 1yr warranty expired it starting flashing and dimming, checked the wires and tried new bulb but the same thing keeps happening .Instore said could do nothing as warranty was up . Other reviews have had similar issues. Shame as it started out to be a nice light.

Good but not as good as previous modelAnonymous reviewerAs always with IKEA, good price, good quality, does what it says on the tin. I would prefer more bend and flexibility, like the previous model I purchased, but sadly that's discontinued now. I'm ok using this model, within it's limitations. Please bring back the previous model.

The light is bright and can be focussed well because of the flexible stand. Nicely solid / great for study light or children’s bedroom or just for those wanting a good ‘reading in bed light’ without the space or inclination for a large fancy lamp!
Have bought for a small guest room and for our grandchildren. Price is extremely reasonable for the great quality of these lamps , and there is a colour choice!
Ths is not suitable as a bedside reading lampAnonymous reviewerI needed a small footprint lamp. The light is not so good. It is also not clear as to if the LED light unit can be replaced. No information on website.
In addition, the LED light unit doesn't feel too securely connected.
All in all, disappointing in terms of how this was intended for use.

Great ditectional lamp but poorly configured plugAnonymous reviewerI bought this in yellow for my daughter's desk and it's a great lamp. Very easy to assemble and use. My only complaint is that the plug, plus the hard end of the cable which connects to it, protrude horizontally by about 10cm which really gets in the way of placement behind furniture, for example. In our case, the connection between the plug and cable snapped when we moved the desk inadvertently. It would be far more convenient if the cable could protrude less and connect from underneath the plug. I have no idea whether I can replace just the cable or need to buy a whole new lamp.
