“We designed a frame that looks like a square with small legs,” explains Anders. It’s a shape that’s used throughout the series, from chairs to tables. “The frame gives NÄMMARÖ a uniform and contemporary look. It’s also modular thinking that simplifies the production and lowers the cost. And since NÄMMARÖ doesn’t have any curved shapes, the products are easy to pack in flat packages.” It contributes to a lower price and saves valuable space during transport – all the way from the factory to the customer’s home.

Great table set but high maintenanceAnonymous reviewerBought table and 2 benches and coffee table and low chairs. Great value, great looking and sturdy. Easy to put together, can actually do it in the box.
However, it does wear very easily and after the first few months the varnish/stain was already wearing off. I guess this is reflected in price and not having had new wood furniture before I didn’t give it too much thought.
So at start of season 2 I got a tin of Ronseal garden furniture protector in clear (pic attached). I gave a quick light rub down to exposed areas with a fine Sandi g pad then applied one coat (2 to the tops). It didn’t take very long at all and has come up lovely, so will now do this at start of each season. In total took 2 hours to do 6 pieces of furniture so not nearly as bad as expected and 2 hours once a year is not too much of an investment to keep it looking good.

Sturdy and Good Looking but High Maintenance Anonymous reviewerBought this with 2 benches and matching lounge set with coffee table. Looks great, lovely honey colour and feels solid. Easy to assemble and actually can be done in the box as it’s right size, so added protection. Good sized hole for parasol….i bought the basic rectangular ones and they coordinate well with the shape and with the colour of cushions.
But, and this is a big BUT….the varnish is already wearing off after being exposed for just 2 months (was covering up for first month but that was so much hassle and figured it was robust enough). So disappointing, expected it to stay looking good for at least a whole season, maybe part of next.
Wish I’d listened to reviews and gone for alternative as this feels too high maintenance. Plus, you can’t even order the wood stain/protection online. Very disheartening.
