“We designed a frame that looks like a square with small legs,” explains Anders. It’s a shape that’s used throughout the series, from chairs to tables. “The frame gives NÄMMARÖ a uniform and contemporary look. It’s also modular thinking that simplifies the production and lowers the cost. And since NÄMMARÖ doesn’t have any curved shapes, the products are easy to pack in flat packages.” It contributes to a lower price and saves valuable space during transport – all the way from the factory to the customer’s home.

customer that I have had any problem with a product. Bought 200 x 75 table and 6 chairs and before use sealed them with 2 coats of Varda
colourless stain. After summer, I cleaned and stored furniture under a Tostero cover over the winter. On removing the cover this summer I found that much of the surface finish had either flaked off or stuck to the cover leaving an unsightly table and chairs which will need to be refinished. As the products are now 18 months old, Ikea have washed their corporate hands of the issue.
