Cheaply MadeAnonymous reviewerI was initially happy to see these in stock again, but really disappointed that they are no longer made like they used to. The older version of this was made from wood, and only the bottom was board. They're really expensive for what you get.

The top layer of drawers I painted grey then faded the next layer down to orange on the bottom. They look fabulous. I want to be in that room all the time now. Thanks Ikea. Thank you also for so promptly replacing a damaged one
Poor qualityAnonymous reviewerI know IKEA is hardly top notch quality wood furniture, but still, at this price I expected a bit more. It was made of the cheapest plywood imaginable, and arrived with a thin sliver of the top section broken off during transit. The drawers do not slide smoothly and look very poorly made. I couldn't be bothered to return this, and so had to glue the broken strip back on with wood glue. Appalling quality. Have not bought from Ikea for a long time and am unlikely to buy any larger items!

Other designsAnonymous reviewerIt would have been nice if there are more variations for this chest drawer. It’s a lovely, functional and simple piece and it would be good to have some options. It’s a bit heavy though for a small item but I guess this helps for it to be able to carry heavier items.

A useful storage box but damaged on arrivalAnonymous reviewerI bought the box to keep sewing odds and ends in and it is great for that. Unfortunately it came damaged in the back left hand corner. A piece of wood had splintered away. I tried to return it but the email confirming the return said I would have to bring it to the store which is a 1.5 hour drive away. There was no option to have it collected or replaced. I found the returns process tedious and laborious. When I tried to do an exchange due to damage a message appeared saying I had to phone customer services. I did so and was given a 10 minute wait time. 15 minutes went by and no response. I gave up and kept it. My husband glued the splinter back but it's a mess. Very disappointed and not satisfied at all.
Quality has gone downAnonymous reviewerI wanted to add another Moppe unit to the five I've owned for about ten years. Those came as flat pack units and with reasonably careful assembly (I'm no craftsman!) they provide sterling service: I particularly appreciate the close fit between the component parts.
Moppe now comes pre-assembled and while the joints are nicely dovetailed, the fit between the drawers and the carcase is disappointingly sloppy and loose. The unit is also much shallower back to front.
So it seems Moppe is now not such a good product as it was which was hugely disappointing.

Very disappointingAnonymous reviewerI need something for the desk to store small items such as cables, a small drive, extra specs, pens and such. However, not only is this made cheaply, putting said items in the drawers proved to be too heavy and the drawers became stuck as the only thing between the rows of drawers is thin 1/2 width wood - so really no support. They are just short of sitting on top of one another. I very rarely have been disappointment in Ikea, this is probably the 3rd time in about 20 years.
Great productAnonymous reviewerI use these in my workshop for small tools etc. They are ideal for setting on a shelf. Slightly disappointed that they are no longer made from plywood but they still appear to be very robust.

It doesn't the jobAnonymous reviewerThe wood isn't the best quay, but I got it for my daughter trying to organise her desk and put small items in, it ok. She hadn't painted it yet. But I have my old one that I painted mine a while back, it holds a lot of small items!
My daughter was holding it when walking back home, she tripped and had it fall on the ground, fortunately the box is still holding, just a little lose, so I would say it is sturdy and survived.

Disappointing quality Anonymous reviewerI have bought several of these draws over the years, they’re very handy. However the most recent set I bought were very disappointing. The draws used to be made of plywood, now only the fronts are. They used to have no gaps when the draws are closed, now there’s gaps at the top and sides of each draw. It just looks cheap. I understand the need to keep costs down. But as they are I wouldn’t buy one again. I’d much perfect to spend a few more quid and get the same quality they used to be.
