Care

Wipe clean with a cloth dampened in a mild cleaner.

RubbishAnonymous reviewerDespite tightening, the unit still rocks from side to side, all wheels DON'T click on hence fall off, all drawers are misaligned, only 1 drawer glides smoothly the other 3 have to be pulled hard to open & banged to shut! Have assembled numerous Ikea products before & all have been solid after assembly, this most DEFINITELY IS NOT!! Very disappointed & would appreciate some feedback.1

Perfect as bedside cabinetsAnonymous reviewerI already have a Micke desk and drawers and realised that these drawer units would make perfect bedside cabinets. I did find a couple of the castors a little tricky to click into place though.5

Upon visiting the store, the three on display were the same. If you are particular about things looking straight, avoid. IKEA customer services on point though as always. 1

Nice design but flawed, tiny and came chippedAnonymous reviewerPurchased this to fit next to a Micke desk as the measurements worked perfectly to keep my small printer in the bottom draw however, when assembled the inner sides of the draw take 13cms off the actual available space and renders it useless. Also came out the box with a tiny chip on the top panel. Build quality is good, as is always the case with Ikea, but the description of this on the website should clarify just how little space there is. Now a useless item and Customer Service state I'm unable to return it, but told me to get a quote for BuyBack which just means losing money. Disappointed.1

Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.

"My idea with the MICKE series was to simplify everything we do with our computers and mobile phones in today's high-tech world. Like keeping in touch with friends, downloading films and music, working or printing out tickets. The goal was to create a real dream product with maximum functions in a minimum space. One smart thing is the built-in cable management, so you can hide away all the cables. Another is that all the parts have the same depth and height so everyone can create their own favourite combination."
