A long table top makes it easy to create a workspace for two.

Cable outlets and compartment at the back keep your cables and extension leads out of view but close at hand.

The legs can be mounted to the right or left according to need.

Can be placed in the middle of a room because the back is finished.

Care

Wipe clean with a cloth dampened in a mild cleaner.

Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

For increased stability, re-tighten the screws about two weeks after assembly and when necessary.

Safety and compliance

Maximum evenly distributed weight is 50 kg. Do not place concentrated weight exceeding 15 kg on a small surface on the desk.This desk has been tested for domestic use and meets the requirements for durability and stability set forth in the following standards: EN 12521 and EN 1730.

The depth is quite short at 50cm. The height of the desk is also disrupted by the drawers underneath, i.e. thighs bang into the drawers if your seat isn't low enough.3

Not good quality desk topAnonymous reviewerBought for my home office, mounted a monitor and laptop stand to it and within a few months the desk top has bowed and crumpled around the bracket which is very disappointing. Will have to buy a new desk very soon as I feel eventually the wood will collapse in around the dent. The desk is also rather short, i bump my knees all the time when sitting at it and im only 5ft4. Looks good but just not good quality unfortunately 2

This is a large item and therefore I had to organise a friend with a large boot to help with the transport. Once I started to assemble the desk I found the drawer back was cracked and also the top had cracks on both edges. I am unable to return product due to it's size and weight. IKEA should provide a return service for large heavy goods. 3

Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.

"My idea with the MICKE series was to simplify everything we do with our computers and mobile phones in today's high-tech world. Like keeping in touch with friends, downloading films and music, working or printing out tickets. The goal was to create a real dream product with maximum functions in a minimum space. One smart thing is the built-in cable management, so you can hide away all the cables. Another is that all the parts have the same depth and height so everyone can create their own favourite combination."
