Reviews

Works wellAnonymous reviewerWorks well with Ikea integrated extractors, saves chopping a cabinet about. Would have preferred an option for a closed top, as it leaves the top of the cabinet open even if this is not needed.5

Worst IKEA experience everAnonymous reviewerI have been buying IKEA furnitures since 11 years ago, I rarely left any reviews but I think I need to do something to let IKEA and others know about my worst IKEA experience this time. The instruction book is not for 60x60 but large cabinet. It took my all past experience and knowledge to figure out how to install the 60x60 cabinet. IKEA must redesign the instruction book for the 60x60 one. In addition, the design was bad for installing UNDERVERK Built-in extractor hood, particular when you install the NYTTIG TUB 150 flexible pipe for fan, it is almost imposible to tighten the tube to the extractor hood since the space between the board and the hood is so narrow! There are even some minor graph faults in the instruction book. Also, this cabinet is said to be designed for installing extractor hood in it, but it doesn't take the hinge set into consideration. It fits with UNDERVERK Built-in extractor hood, and UTRUSTA Hinge w b-in damper for kitchen, 153°, but just not together.1
Easy to buildAnonymous reviewerEasy to build but you will have to purchase the extractor from ikea for this unit because most other brand extractors will not fit in this unit even if they are 80cm. 5
Unnecessarily complicatedAnonymous reviewerAll the little spaces are a waste of time. Go for a couple of shelves. Really tricky to make.1

Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
