Comfortable Office ChairAnonymous reviewerEasy to assemble, with clear instructions.
Height and tilt controls are easy to adjust.
The chair is very comfortable.5
Excellent office chair for home & work!Anonymous reviewerHave purchased several of these chairs for working from home & also for myself & colleagues in the office. Brilliant chairs, very comfortable & hard wearing....5
Doesn’t move on carpetAnonymous reviewerVery difficult to move the chair on my carpet in my office.3
Awkward tilt and lack of supportAnonymous reviewerI must be made different to most; this chair is awful. The seat tilts forward slightly making you feel like you being pushed off the cushion, the back rest is poorly aligned and arm rests are way too high and intrusive meaning the chair can't be easily pushed under a table.3
BssicAnonymous reviewerSon finds the arm rests are uncomfortable, but the cat likes it - as cat scratcher.1
ComfortableAnonymous reviewerEasy to assemble, just wish it had one less foot as they get in my way.4
Nice chairAnonymous reviewerGood solid comfy chair. Would of liked an extra upright setting. Well supporting.Easy to put together eith clear instructions.4
Lower back painAnonymous reviewerI bought this a few years ago, now. After about 6 months I had to get a new one since I had such bad pain all through my lower back. I wish I knew that I could have returned it after assembly.1
Markus 2Anonymous reviewerThis is my second Markus office chair. Nothing better.5
Good Chair, Horrible WheelsAnonymous reviewerA few friends have this chair and looking to replace a bulky "ergonmic" chair that seems to give me more back pain than it should try and solve, I decided to get one myself.
Assembly was simple enough, I use it without the arms due to the way I like to sit in the chair. However my main complaint is the included wheels are really stiff and hard to rotate, which means the chair doesn't really roll properly.
I will be fitting aftermarket wheels to compensate this.4
Armrests are too highAnonymous reviewerBasically usable, but the armrests are too high. They prevent you from using the chair comfortably on most desks. For example, this chair is not compatible with the 132 x 58 cm Alex desk (product code 805.888.88). The problem is that the armrests are slightly too high, and MUCH too far forward. Unfortunately, the armrests are actually structural: they help hold the lining in place.
I'm currently using this chair without the armrests. Overall, I'd say buying this was a mistake.3
A reliable chairAnonymous reviewerI bought this a long long time ago, when they still sold the leather version. I wish they'd bring it back.
It's a good chair that's lasted me around a decade. I'd like to buy another, but i'm uncertain about buying the fabric version as it's less easy to clean than the leather version.
The only downside of this chair is that they STILL don't have adjustable arms after all these years. It's still difficult to fit under my desk without compromising the comfort of my chair height. Please consider this one adjustment.4
So comfyAnonymous reviewerVery, very, very comfy - perfect for long hours in my office.
Looks stylish and sleek, & at such a great price. Very happy!5
Office chairAnonymous reviewerI have found this office chair to be comfortable with many possible adjustable sitting positions. It would have been five stars had the arm rests been a little more padded, however, this would not stop me from recommending it. 4
Amazing quality Anonymous reviewerThis is the third office chair we bought after two very low cost versions from other suppliers. This IKEA product has clearly been tested sufficiently and is so solidly built that the slightly higher price is more than justified. Thanks for amazing quality. 5
Comfortable home office, chairAnonymous reviewerPractical, ergonomic and comfortable chair purchased for working from home. Great purchase.5
Lasted about 10,000 hoursAnonymous reviewerThe shape generally accommodates wide and tall people fairly well, but the height at full extension was slightly too low for me to be comfortable ( I am 6'4).
Seat pad somewhat compressed after a while.
Handle jammed on the tilt mechanism and then broke - could not get it to stay up-right, so its gone to the recycling centre after 10K operating hours (about 3 years).
Cosmetically looked ok still after 3years, although the rubber on the arms was rubbed and cracking.

ComfyAnonymous reviewerGreat office type chair gives support where needed and you can control and fix the tilt.5
Time To Replace?Anonymous reviewerI've had one of these chairs for a while now. It has been used for 6-8 hours/day, 5 days/week, ever since it was purchased some 15 years ago. Some of the critical reviews here concerning noise and poor comfort, I really cannot understand! I'm thinking of replacing mine now - like me, it is getting a bit long in the tooth, so I am delighted that this model is still available. I'll probably replace my old black chair with the grey version ... will visit the store and decide then. Incidentally, I'm a little over the "tested weight" at about 300lbs but have had no issues with the chair at all, it has been faultless over these 15 years and is only being replaced because the upholstered parts are showing their age (hardly surprising!).5
Can you change the arms?Anonymous reviewerCan you change the chair arms as they don't fit under my desk3
