Glass top for MalmAnonymous reviewerDidn’t realise that the glass is white, I’d bought for drawers of the beech colour. Was expecting glass to be clear due to 3 different choices of colours in the drawers. Looks ok, and will keep the drawers from any scratches. Would recommend just need to be aware that it’s not a clear glass.

FumingAnonymous reviewerWent on the phone to ikea as I needed glass top panel for a grey malm chest of drawers had to pay someone to click and collect miles away , person brings that one and what should have been a black tv besta one on the box the colour was WHITE! Now having to pay someone to take it back why aren’t Ikea doing the grey and the clear glass for the long malm chest of drawers plus the panel had holes in it very badly packaged just a flimsy box with one bit of sellotape in the centre none at the ends to hold the glass in, as for the black one that came it was just a sheet of glass and it wasn’t even the right one that the woman on the phone sent me the link for so that’s having to go back with no packaging, I also got items delivered the besta sideboard and the malm long chest of drawers, there was multiple pieces missing out the sideboard box which was a pain in the next as I pad someone to put them all up so having to get the guy to come back, not good enough Ikea infact an absolute joke

What is glass?
Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
