The support bar fell off and the drawer got stuck Anonymous reviewerI’ve had this IKEA chest of six drawers for six months with normal everyday use. Yesterday, the steel supporting bar on the bottom left drawer detached from the front end and dropped down. It became stuck under the drawer skirting, which now prevents the drawer from opening at all.
From the broken place I can see the front panel is some hollow chipboard and should not be used for any structural supporting even just for the drawers. This is quite frustrating and disappointing, especially for furniture that is supposed to be sturdy and functional.
Overall, this feels like a design or build-quality issue rather than wear and tear, and it does not worth the price.
