My first bread bin was already broken and the replacement has now also broken after not very long. I will buy another as it fits well in the kitchen but the nib/hinges are very poorly designed

This bread bin doesn't roll back to open like a 'traditional' bread bin, as it looks. It has a hinged lid with flimsy, plastic nibs set into a small hole drilled in each of the side panels This allows the quarter-circle front to open like a door.
Mine was broken on arrival (one plastic nib had snapped off), a defect which cannot be repaired and almost seems that this failure has been designed in. In the bin with this MAGASIN!
*When I ordered the bread bin there was no photo of the item 'open' so you couldn't see how it functions. This has been updated now.

A bit loudAnonymous reviewerNice little bread bin, the only downside is that if you leave it open it'll close itself eventually with an unexpectedly loud bang. Applying some felt pads to door contact locations fixed it.
