This product is made by Classical in Bangladesh – a social business which, through its production of objects in jute, creates jobs and a steady income for women in rural areas.
The undyed jute creates a rustic expression that is enhanced by the handwoven texture.
The small embroidery in black and white along the edge is hand-embroidered in cotton threads.

Simplicity at its best.Anonymous reviewerI have been looking for placemats like these for a long time - I am always drawn to expensive looking items which have a price to match! These however had a great price and superior quality.
I love the design addition of the embroidered tab - it enhances the style & quality of the mat.
These are soft but durable and do not move as you tuck into your dinner!
