ZzzzzAnonymous reviewerall good5
Very odd sensation.Anonymous reviewerI purchased the Malm double bed with these Luroy slats as standard. However the slats and central beam were not with the original delivery and I had to wait a couple of days for them to be delivered separately. The bed itself was a nightmare to assemble, thanks to YouTube I found helpful videos which made sense of Ikea's nonsensical instructions. My issue with the slats are the curves and central main beam. The central beam sits a fraction higher than the outer frame fitment. This means there's a slope towards the edges of the bed, which makes you feel like you're rolling out of the bed! A very odd sensation, which is unpleasant to say the least. I wondered if the slats have to be fitted in a particular way? But the curves seem uniform whichever way you place it, and yes they are the right way up. Based on this, I cannot recommend them, as I cannot get a decent night's sleep.2
Perfect !!Anonymous reviewerQaulity made item works perfect !!5
replacement bed baseAnonymous reviewerNeeded after an active teenager decided to bounce on the bed, and broke one of the slats. There was only one option, as a straight replacement part, and I'm pleased it is sold separately from the bed frame, making this kind of repair possible.5
TerribleAnonymous reviewerSeem to be slightly too short as they keep 'collapsing'! I fear for my life every time I get into bed1
Count the slatsAnonymous reviewerBought to replace original that had failed, noticed that the new one was one slat short had to attached a slat from the original. Luckily I had the tools to do it otherwise it would have been another costly trip back to the store3
Poor qualityAnonymous reviewerMine don't seem to fit and keep falling out.1
Poor Bed Slat QualityAnonymous reviewerI bought a bed from IKEA, but the bed slats are really poor in quality. Whenever I lie on it, the wooden slats make noise, and every time I turn over, there’s a creaking sound. It feels very bad and disappointing.1
Cheap but really unrelableAnonymous reviewerHave not had the budget to get a better version. The slats ALWAYS fail me2
Strong and flexibleAnonymous reviewerSafe secure support and simple assembly 5
Great for priceAnonymous reviewerAs we had a solid bed frame these slats were better for the mattress we have and i had the best nights sleep because of them again they came as part of a package deal easy to fit, the easiest bit of the whole build 5
Bed slatsAnonymous reviewerJust what we needed for our bed fits perfectly 5
Great bed frame Anonymous reviewerEasy to put together and apart from being a bit creaky, a good frame with large storage draws. 5
Works well, very comfortable baseAnonymous reviewerSo easy to install...obviously! Makes for a comfortable base.5
Super comfortableAnonymous reviewerGood comfortable bed base, no complaints5
LuroyAnonymous reviewerI have brought this product before very good quality and very strong wood ii would recommend this product. 5
Horrible squeaking waking up at night Anonymous reviewerBroken sleep due to loud squeaking. They have a curve to them when bought- is this why it is happening? Bad untested design if that is the case. To address other replies from Ikea - no the screws are not loose, yes the slats are aligned correctly, yes we have used the stoppers... So now what? My child needs their sleep(!) but the bed was 339 in total and the rest is fine... there are also other reviews talking about this squeak1
Poor quality in comparison to previous ikea slats Anonymous reviewerI found the luroy slats inferior to the previous slats supplied with ikeas older bed frames I had before1
Nice BedAnonymous reviewerIt's nice and comfy.5
Perfect productAnonymous reviewerI bought this for an old bed frame and it was ideal. Good quality, strong and comfortable to sleep on. Easy to fit, too. 5

What is layer-glued wood?

With layer-glued wood it’s possible to create flexible and extra strong constructions with curved shapes, like frames for armchairs. The secret is a technique where many layers of thin wood veneer are glued together and then pressed into the desired shape. We often use wood like birch, beech, ash and even bamboo – and strive to use the raw material as smartly and efficiently as possible to avoid waste. Just like solid wood, it has natural variations in structure and colour.
