Excellent bed base!Anonymous reviewerI made an error in my previous review of this product as I stated that it was cheaper to buy this bed base together with a bed frame rather than separately. This is not the case, the bed base is the same price no matter how you purchase it. My mistake, sorry! Nonetheless, this base was very easy to assemble and gives great support to the Valevag mattress which I also purchased. Very pleased.

Quite incredible. I now believe that overall comfort experience is 60:40 - mattress : frame support after purchasing this set!

Great to use as floor bedAnonymous reviewerWe bought the king of this last year to have a floor bed for co- sleeping, now just bought the double for our toddlers to move into together. Ignore the reviews about it being really difficult to assemble, I managed to put it together alone in about an hour with a baby on me! Just make sure you don't tighten the frame before you put the slats in and it will go together easy peasy. Great way to get your mattress off the floor without spending a fortune!
Easy to assemble, not sure yet about usageAnonymous reviewerThis is a common sense win for Ikea. After working out a technique for fitting the slat, it went together well and seems sturdy enough.
The main problem was the instructions were missing. All the pieces to put it together were there so a quick search for the instructions online solved the issue. In the seemingly characteristic challenge Ikea always seem to build in to their furniture, this was an easy victory to me.
I will write reviews of the Malm bed and the wardrobe I bought with this as well.

With layer-glued wood it’s possible to create flexible and extra strong constructions with curved shapes, like frames for armchairs.
