This cover is made of dope-dyed GUNNARED fabric in polyester. It is a durable fabric with a wool-like feel, a warm look and a two-toned melange effect.

The seat tilted forward also positions my spine in a far better, upright stance and prevents back pain. The active nature of it is subtle, but constant. The ability to change the height is great for different people. Love the spin so that can do computer keyboard on one side of room and piano keyboard on the other wihtout moving the Lidkullen (yes it's a small room!)5

Material

What is polyester?

Polyester is a durable, quick-drying and insulating material that is optimal to use for textiles and as filling in pillows, quilts and furniture. The material is made from crude oil – a limited resource. Since IKEA doesn’t want to contribute to more virgin oil being used, we are now gradually switching to recycled and traceable polyester from sources like PET bottles. What’s nice is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without changing or losing its great qualities.
