Poor cushions and comfort.Anonymous reviewerI bought this sofa around 3 years ago, the cushions have lost shape/form and have gone soft. The sofa is now less comfortable. I don't even use the sofa everyday. I also have an arm chair and this is fine. Also I have a relative who has had the same sofa with the 'velvet' fabric for over a year and these cushions are fine and much more comfortable.

Cleaning & washingAnonymous reviewerYou can not take covers off to wash so I had to buy a cleaner to wash the sofa leaves stains and marks very quickly …. It’s ok the sofa and is comfortable but the price is very high in fact it’s increased over 4 years and it’s not worth for the price

Bought as a temporary fix and kept as so good!Anonymous reviewerWe initially bought the 2.5 & 3 seaters in green to smarten up our sitting room for our house sale. They have been amazing! Firm but comfortable to sit on, beautiful colour and the fabric in this colour way looks more expensive than it was. They clean fantastically. Having moved we now have one in a summer house, where it’s perfect and the 3 seater makes a great spare single bed with the back cushions removed in a spare room. We’ve had them for three years now and they’re probably in better shape than an expensive sofa I bought more recently for my sitting room.
Looks good, but sore butt! Hard to clean. Anonymous reviewerEasy to assemble, looks good, but after a couple of hours of sitting on it, your butt starts to hurt which makes it really uncomfortable. OK for occasional seating if you are not using it for a main sofa, but after 3 years of having it, I'm already looking for something else to relax on in the evenings. We got the chaise too, but unfortunately it has also started to sag - we don't even use that part as much. The sofa is also really quite hard to clean. BRING BACK THE STOCKSUND SOFA SERIES.
Great sofa Anonymous reviewerI think this is great value for money. I’ve had mine for 5 years now and it’s still going strong. Not too dipped from sitting so still looks good as new. It isn’t the squishiest sofa out there but I think this is why it’s lasted so well.

It's November 2024 and although comfy, the seat cushions have compressed and ideally you'd be able to buy the cushions separately to replace the inner.

Can’t cleanAnonymous reviewerWe purshased 2 of this sofa about 2,5 years ago I’ve been happy in the beginning the a few months ago I had to clean some stain made by kids hands and feet . I thought covers are removable but found out they’re not even with zips . So tried the sofa and carpet washer but the problem is the fabric quality is decreasing after using the washer a few times and became hard to clean. Does any body know how to clean it please ?

deceptive guaranteeAnonymous reviewerI bought the yellow fabric version of this sofa for over £700. It's nice looking. However, as many have said, the cushions are very poor quality: they sink in the middle (by about 3 inches), can't be turned or fluffed up, and cause back ache as they have neither support nor 'give'. I sent photos and much info to IKEA in many emails but there is a refusal to accept anything is wrong -- despite other reviewers stating a similar manufacturing/ design/ quality fault. It may be the cushions are now better made (I hope so) but be wary of the IKEA Guarantee as only they decide, from a photo, if a claim is valid, so it's easy to dismiss a customer's complaint. Very disappointing service, and a bad way to treat a customer of many, many years.
