Good to know

To keep your sofa looking good, you should regularly flatten out creases and wrinkles with your hand.

The velvet reflects light in a characteristic way which may make the colour appear as if it changes.

Press marks that may appear on the velvet usually disappear after some time. With your hand, you can gently stroke in the direction of the pile or use a clothes brush. You can also use the vacuum cleaner with the soft nozzle.

Small fibres may appear on velvet. It happens naturally and they disappear over time and can also be removed with a garment roll.

Remove dust with a lint remover.

Light stains can be removed with a sponge damped in water or a mild soapy solution.

To make sure that velvet maintains its look and feel, it needs to be cared for regularly according to the care instructions included with the product.

The cover has a lightfastness level of 5 (the ability to resist colour fading) on a scale of 1 to 8. According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.This cover's ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 25,000 cycles. A cover that withstands 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture that should withstand everyday use in the home.

I thought covers are removable but found out they’re not even with zips . deceptive guaranteeAnonymous reviewerI bought the yellow fabric version of this sofa for over £700. It's nice looking. However, as many have said, the cushions are very poor quality: they sink in the middle (by about 3 inches), can't be turned or fluffed up, and cause back ache as they have neither support nor 'give'. I sent photos and much info to IKEA in many emails but there is a refusal to accept anything is wrong -- despite other reviewers stating a similar manufacturing/ design/ quality fault. It may be the cushions are now better made (I hope so) but be wary of the IKEA Guarantee as only they decide, from a photo, if a claim is valid, so it's easy to dismiss a customer's complaint. Very disappointing service, and a bad way to treat a customer of many, many years. 1

really disappointed with this setAnonymous reviewerI purchased this Sofa a good few years ago. After a few years in I contacted IKEA with concern over the stitching on the leather seams. Someone came out to visit and had a look and advised it was just wear and tear on the fabric and not the stitching and it would not burst. Well now I have a big gaping whole where he inspected and advised it was not the stitching. My sofa is also suffering from the same as others have mentioned around the arms sagging. I purchased the 3 seater/armchair and footstool so was not exactly cheap. It looks awful now. I do not recommend this sofa 2
