Product details

The tabletop has pre-drilled holes to make it easier to attach to the underframe.

Board-on-frame is a strong and lightweight material with a frame in wood, particleboard or fibreboard and a recycled paper filling. It requires less raw materials and is easy to transport, which reduces the environmental impact.

Good to know

This tabletop is suitable to use with legs from our Build Your Own Desk range. It's not suitable to use with underframes from our office range (like MITTZON, TROTTEN or IDÅSEN).

Care

Wipe clean with a cloth dampened in a mild cleaner.

Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

For increased stability, re-tighten the screws about two weeks after assembly and when necessary.

Safety and compliance

This table has been developed and tested for home use and is not suitable for installation of a screen stand. Maximum evenly distributed weight is 50 kg. Do not place concentrated weight exceeding 15 kg on a small surface on the table.This table has been developed for home use and meets the requirements for durability and stability set forth in the following standards: EN 12521 and EN 1730.

Poor qualityAnonymous reviewerI’ve had two of these, first one dropped by delivery guy, edges chipped. Replaced with new one, edging now coming away. I’ve had these before with no issues, so I believe it is the two toned edging that’s the fault. Grey parts chip easy too, would suggest sticking with the wood effect!1

Don't clamp anything to it (eg monitor stand)Anonymous reviewerThe desk works well. We have two side by side with legs on each end and the Alex drawers inbetween. I made the mistake of using a monitor stand on the desk and the flimsy internal construction buckled over time and now there is a big dent in the desk. You can use a length of wood or metal to spread the weight across a larger area but I would be cautious about that.4

The washing machine and dryer were placed next to each other, but the tops were slightly differently finished and there was a slight gap. By putting some non- slip material on top of the machines, we used the table top as a worktop to use to sort and fold tge finished laundry. It is easy to clean and has stayed in place with no permanently fixing it.5

Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
