Dangerous!Anonymous reviewerJust as another customer stated these dishes are not safe. I purchased 3 and filled the first dish with some warm food for serving. The food was not overly hot and when I turned my back the dish exploded into a thousand pieces and I had food and sauce all over my kitchen. Needless to say I did not use the other two dishes. If a child had been standing nearby they could have been cut to pieces with the shards which had sprayed everywhere. These dishes should come with a warning to only place cold foods in them. I certainly wouldn’t put them in the oven! Please be very careful when using these! 1

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
