Bowed Shelf Anonymous reviewerTo be fair the coffee table is large, very large and of nice quality, easy to assemble but after just a few weeks with NO weight on the bottom shelf it's bowed like a banana. The shelf is made of MDF so it's really heavy with no center support so it bows under it's own weight. The shelf is none reversible. As a temporary solution I've placed a pile of books under the shelf to support it and stop it bowing even further. Maybe IKEA should redesign and add a center support for this coffee table in the future. 3

Excellent tableAnonymous reviewerI had a specific idea of how big, practical and height of what kind of table I needed in my living room and it goes perfectly with what I had in mind. It’s a good size as my dogs don’t really reach the middle of it. I’m not scared of it getting knocked as it is study and great space. Comes in a lovely range of colours however I think the black would chip easy but the oak is great. I definitely love it and recommend for anyone who has pets, kids, lots of visitors in your space and anything you need a table for a big room. 5
Kitchen Island Anonymous reviewerBought this to replace the old top if an island in the kitchen. One double kitchen base unit, 4 wheels (with brakes) and this on the top, means we can house the unsightly waste/recycling bins and, as it's on wheels it can be moved around the kitchen to suit. 5
Sturdy for the priceAnonymous reviewer a bad table for the price paid. It's sturdy and well built. My only problem is the bottom shelf is bent and not by user error. Everyone I know who has one says the same. The bottom shelf has a slight bow to it once assembled. It's nothing to worry about as it doesn't effect the use but it's a common thing it seems.5

Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
