I needed a bed to move my niece from her gulliver cot, but as she shares my room I wasn’t thrilled at needing to put a full single bed in. The kritter bed is perfect as it’s low enough she can be independent getting in and out safely, it will last a good few years so excellent value for money, and it takes up less precious space in my room, which she doesn’t yet need to be taking up. It is much sturdier than I was anticipating and I’m even able to sit on the edge to read her bedtime story. I have put a larger fold-down side rail on as she has autism and needs to feel enclosed, but with a child without her needs the cute little rail provided would be sufficient. She loves the sheep on the headboard.

There was nothing on the box or on the website to say slats not included. It just said slatted bed so you would think they are included. So be warned when purchasing that you get the slats.

Measurements incorrectAnonymous reviewerBought this bed today and it is exactly what we wanted BUT BEWARE... the headboard and bottom are 77cm wide! The product description says the bed is 75cm wide and we bought the bed on this basis to fit into a small room ~ now we need to change the door!

What is fibreboard?
Fibreboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are.
