Good to know

This frame fits with a picture that has dimensions 50x70 cm if you use it with the mount, and it fits with a picture that has dimensions 61x91 cm if you choose to use the frame without the mount.

The mount will not turn yellow since it is acid-free.

Plastic frame issueAnonymous reviewerI usually love Ikea frames and wasn't expecting that a change in design would be a problem. Unfortunately the plastic insert (as glass) is printed with the PE plastic marking to show it's recyclable. This is not removable without damaging the plastic making it cloudy. I'll be returning all of them. Buyer beware!1

Shame that the mounts don't follow standard paper sizes. I bought the 40x50cm size but had to extend the top and bottom of the mounts by 1cm in each direction to accommodate A3 pictures.4

What is fibreboard?

Fibreboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.
