What is poplar?
The wood from the flowering poplar tree is soft and flexible. Compared to many other types of wood, it is also low-weight. These characteristics makes it suitable for use in paper and bodies of drums and guitars. We, however, mainly split the material thinly and use it for weaving and various lamination techniques when making baskets and other storage products.
