Refreshing alternative to black - although I do still like black framesAnonymous reviewerAs a former gallery owner and artist, I've been buying IKEA frames for decades. In fact, I've even created work specifically to fit their standard sizes because the frames are consistently well made, reasonably priced, and reliably available.
I was particularly drawn to this frame (Klotkorsbar) because it's dark without being black, and the slim, subtly shaped profile looks elegant rather than cheap - a quality that's surprisingly hard to find in similar frames from other retailers.
The current hanging system is simple and easy to use, although I do miss the older arrangement of two metal clips and a length of wire. I'm guessing that method was needed to allow for the additional weight of the glass, or to accommodate a deeper back, but it let you hang a frame on two parallel nails - a classic gallery technique that keeps artwork perfectly level and prevents it from being knocked out of position - especially useful when displaying multiple pieces in a row or as part of a grid.

Amazing Finish & QualityAnonymous reviewerThe frames are sturdy and the oak effect is so nice. The colour is a very deep brown which I absolutely love. All those black frames can be quite boring ahah. Hopefully we can have them in the 61x91cm size.
