A great addition to my lounge much admired by my guests.Anonymous reviewerThe Kivik range is a very good buy but the range needs a matching armchair to complete the set. I have searched for an armchair in a similar grey but the odd one out would ruin the effect, so come on Ikea its time to complete the set.. 5
Repeat purchase Anonymous reviewerI sat on previous Kivik for about 12 years, so comfy. I tried to find another new sofa and gave up, just bought the same again. Couldn't find another one as comfy as this one.5
Perfect for the spaceAnonymous reviewerHaving downsized drastically, our 3 piece suite did not even fit through the front door! So, we had to get one in a hutty. Luckily, we spotted this in Ikea and went and bought it. It arrived quickly. The instructions were very good and it was easy to build. Thanks Ikea!5
Great design practical size.Anonymous reviewerWell designed solid and well built, firm upholstery.
Perfect for lying on and large enough for 3 people at a push. I love the low arm rests and choice of material, in my opinion far more comfortable than leather especially on hot days.
It fits the bill for me perfectly very modern looking.
One note of caution the tone of colours shown on here vary quite a lot from real life tones it’s worth looking at them in the store.
Very pleased with purchase I also got the matching one seater sofa bed which is extremely heavy so be aware of that.5
Needs memory foam!!Anonymous reviewerLove the colour, shape & size BUT within a month looks older purely down to poor foam in seat cushions...you're left with your bum impression (not a good look) AND you can't just turn the cushion over because of the design, all you can do is swap across! Would have liked better design cushion as I now spend time just swapping over the cushions & just makes it look cheap! Sorry IKEA thumbs down.....3
Brilliant sofa for the price!Anonymous reviewerGot this in the beautiful Tallmyra Blue colour which looks fantastic, and it is quite comfortable and supportive. The price for it is good too. Some of the downsides are the sofa itself is kinda low down to the floor, which maybe could be improved. The arm rests are quite hard as there is not much padding, if at all.
Also when the sofa was being assembled, one of the back rest cushions sofa covers ripped at the zip corner, despite being careful with all pieces during assembly. This happened because the back rest cushion cover seems to be a size too small to get the cushion in. On a positive note, this does help keep the back rest cushions looking smart, but the trouble is you could damage one of the back rest cushion covers by accident, as it can be a struggle to get in and possibly out. The hole has been sown up, so it’s not a problem anymore, but it was frustrating this happened.
I would advise to take care getting the back rest cushions into and out of their covers.4
Quality has changedAnonymous reviewerHave 2 kivik sofas, One 4 years old, the other 8, both of which I've been very happy with, so thought it would be safe to extend one of my current 2 seaters by adding a corner section / 2 seater to make the L shape..Intial thoughts were good, few weeks on I noticed the covers were sagging badly, then noticed the cushions were not anywhere near as comfy or holidng their shape like my other 2 hence the sagging covers, was only when I looked into this online that I found out that Ikea has changed the cushioning/padding to the kivik range .There was no mention of this online or instore in Edinburgh where they are/were still still using the long discontinued 'better quality' kivik cushioning, basically I was cold sold the poorer new stuff. I Now have a 5 month old Kivik corner section that looks much older than the 8 year old sofa its attached too.I fail to undertsnad how it that new cusioning can depreciate more in 5 months than my 4 and 8 years olds have in years..Extremely dissapointing1
Comfortable in corduroy!Anonymous reviewerBought the corduroy two seater to replace 15 yr old leather Ikea sofa. Was easy to assemble on my own in an hour or so. Very sturdy and is so comfortable to lounge on- glad it’s as comfy as the show room one and delivery wasn’t extortionate! 5
Spare room sofaAnonymous reviewerLovely sofa for spare room. Very comfortable as well. Easy to put together 5
Sofa excellent. Delivery not.Anonymous reviewerIt looks good, and it's comfortable to sit on (in a satisfyingly firm sort of way. It's also good value for money, especially if you choose the beige-grey (the big difference in price for the various colours is hard to understand).
Some things to note: if you're buying it online, try to visit one of the stores to get a real look at the fabric colours - I found they can look very different from their appearance on a computer screen, with the beige-grey and dark blue looking more attractive than I expected, and the turquoise-grey darker than I expected. Also, it could be a mistake to assume it's a similar size to your old two-seater without carefully checking the dimensions - it's very big for a two-seat sofa, and you could be in for a surprise.
It's a five star sofa, but I've taken off one star for the delivery (from Glasgow). Promised information updates didn't come, in fact any information was hard to come by, and it eventually arrived very late. Not impressive.4
SetteeAnonymous reviewerPrompt delivery, easy to assemble and very comfortable. 5
lovely sofaAnonymous reviewerbought 2x kivik 2 seater sofas and one footstool in same range. was worried at first as i knew we had to assemble them but it was very easy! they are very comfy and really happy with them!5
Kivik 2 seaterAnonymous reviewerComfy and easy to assemble, which enabled us to get it up to our 1st floor apartment (narrow stairs). Good value for money5
Great sofa!Anonymous reviewerI bought this sofa from a friend who had it for a few years and I wasn't expecting much but it has surprised me! It's comfortable, a great size and very durable. We've moved it between 3 houses, taken it apart multiple times when we've moved it, washed the covers, and bought new covers and it's stood the test of time. We decided to buy a new cover for it from Etsy as we wanted to match the colour to our other sofa, so this is also a great choice if you're wanting a sofa with many design options. 5
Hugely disappointed Anonymous reviewerI bought two, two seater Kivik sofas and I’m hugely disappointed with them. At first they looked good but now they’re really uncomfortable. The seat cushions will not stay in place. They constantly require pushing back onto the sofa. The back cushions are no longer supportive. Any pressure on the arms leave a dent in the foam. The same happens with the foot stool cushion too. We are two adults only so it’s not as though they have been hammered. We visited our store with our concerns but got absolutely nowhere. We discussed how the ones in the store felt different. We were actually told that they had changed the cushion since ours were bought.
Utterly disappointed. We wish we had never purchased them. 1
LovelyAnonymous reviewerLovely sofa. Bought it in February. Wanted something hard-wearing as we have a toddler and the covers on this have just had their first wash... it looks brand new again! Very comfy. Only thing I would say is protect the arms with something as you will have to dismantle it to wash them but the cushion covers washed a treat! Very pleased. 5
worringAnonymous reviewerHas anyone looked underneath as i have there is mold spreading all over the wooden frame, please check as mine as got to be looked into nothing else just the settees.1
Comfortable SofaAnonymous reviewerGreat sofas worth the price tag and not as expensive as most brand places. Overall quality and quality are the main factors for my decision to buy them from IKEA. Extremely well designed and very durable for your needs 5
KIVIK 2-seat sofa Kelinge grey-turquoiseAnonymous reviewerArticle Number 794.430.47; only sofa frame has a 10 year guarantee.1
good at first but not long termAnonymous reviewerbought this sofa in February 2021. comfy at first but now after 3 years of normal daily use (single person household) the cushions are misshapen and don't hold up to being sat on daily. armrest cushion has moved from resting head on it so now the frame underneath is coming through which is extremely uncomfortable. as the sofa is out of warranty I can't ask Ikea to replace the armrest and 2 pillows (not even for money as they don't sell parts) so will have to replace the whole sofa instead.2
