Reviews
Issue with the usb connectorAnonymous reviewerExcited to try it, plug and it powered once you press it. After trying on and off 2-3 times and kept it off, wait another 5minutes to turn it on, and won’t turn on. I thought its my connection, but I’ve tried it few times and its does the same thing. Shame as it is a perfect side table light for me to use while im reading books.
Perfect for Smart Plug OperationAnonymous reviewerDespite some previous comments to the contrary, I can confirm that these little light units work fine with a smart plug. If you switch the plug and the lamp on - as expected it illuminates. If you then turn the smart plug off (eg a timer or voice command) then the lamp goes off, and then back on again when the smart plug is switched back on - you don’t need to touch the lamp again. Worth noting I’m using a 2 amp USB source - maybe it doesn’t work with lower powered sources.
SmallAnonymous reviewerI didnt realise these were so small. TBH i wanted a smaller lamp so I am not disappointed. The picture looks like the lamp is bigger. Worth the money!
LightAnonymous reviewerUsed to light a cabinet, very good
Just the right amount of lightingAnonymous reviewerI use this spotlight in my kitchen as it is only small this spotlight provides the right amount of coverage when overhead lights aren't necessary.
Has to be plugged in all the timeAnonymous reviewerIt looks like it’s a chargeable light but it isn’t. Which is such a shame as it would have been perfect. But having to leave it plugged in all the time is not ideal.
Tiny but mighty!Anonymous reviewerUsb-powered light, minimal, fuss-free to use and to install. Stuck one to bed headboard for bedside light, its easily enough to read by but not blinding, easy to find in the dark, just press the light itself to switch on/off
Superb little light for £4 if you aren't expecting a £35 Cateye bike light or Alexa accessoryAnonymous reviewerBought one of these on a whim as a potential bedside light. Thought it might be a micro USB connection (and cheap because of this, since micro USB is being phased out). In fact it's not, it's a simple but sturdy two pin connector. This would be a huge problem in limiting data transfer, internet connectivity, etc- apart from the fact it's a tiny £4 led that plugs into USB for the purposes of powering a light. It doesn't have a built in LiPo battery, it doesn't connect to WiFi or the internet. If it came with a self-adhesive pad I lost it so can't comment, but it's small enough to hold in place with a blob of blu-tac or a 1cm piece of double sided tape. If you want a tiny but powerful light for the bedside or landing that turns on with a single gentle touch and can easily be plugged in at skirting-board level and positioned where you grope for it in the dark, buy it for £4. If you want a built-in battery, smartphone connectivity, and USB-C, search for bike lights in the £35- £50 bracket
Good little light, long cable, appalling sticky padAnonymous reviewera nice little light which is easy to power let down enormously by a sticky pads nice little that refuses to stick to anything
Great little light and illuminates well Anonymous reviewerGreat little light and illuminates well but you have to have them plugged in at all times. Sadly I didn't have a socket nearby so I have had to use power banks. The bad thing is this, you can't switch off and leave for a while without having to unplug the power bank and plug back in to light. No simple on off button working for all four of mine.
Brilliant Light!Anonymous reviewerSmall but mighty. It's brighter than I expected. Actually, I was hoping it would be a bit dimmer, but it's fine. Just touch it gently and it comes on. I love it. The cord is nice and long, which is fabulous! I love that the charger isn't connected, leaving the usba end free. That way, I can plug it into a usb multi-socket with some other things. It uses very little wattage and it's cheap as chips! Brilliant.
Tiny and BrightAnonymous reviewerSo easy to install. Literally plug, stick on and go. I've used them for bedside lights. Getting 2 more for inside wardrobe
LightAnonymous reviewerFantastic!
Amazing versatile lightAnonymous reviewerThese things are brilliant and such good value for money. The light is surprisingly bright and will happily light up the inside of displays, I’m using them to light up Lego for example.
I currently have mine plugged into one of IKEAs usb plugs, the one with 3 ports, which in turn is plugged into a smart plug so I can turn them on and off from my phone, they remember their on/off which is really handy for this, though I need more USBs now so will need a bigger USB bank in order to light a display with anymore than 3 lights, or more plugs which I don’t have the space for.
Downside to them is they use a non standard plug into the light itself and then a USB A, feel like it would have made more sense to have them fit into one of their smart switches so I can buy a bunch of them and run them all through that instead. Or for IKEA to see alternate cable options, otherwise they are brilliant
Great value and easy to use. Anonymous reviewerWasn't expecting much for the price but they are fantastic. Bright light super easy to use and designed to go practically anywhere. Just press the light to turn on and off, plugs into a USB.
Ideal for our requirements Anonymous reviewerBought with a glass door display cabinet- lights up our display perfectly. Neat and compact, easy to fit, very effective.
Do not work as a cordless light Anonymous reviewerVery disappointed to find these lights need to be plugged in at all times in order to work. I mistakenly thought that they charged up via a usb and would therefore work without the cable attached until the charge ran down. I bought a batch of them for bookcase shelves but they are useless to me if they need to be plugged in behind the bookcase. Shame because the light is very bright and would have looked lovely in the bookcase. Beware they are very small - little bigger than a 50p.
Great little light.Anonymous reviewerI have one of these on my sewing machine. It’s perfect for increasing the light to whatever I’m working on. I already have a strip of LED lights stuck to the bottom of the machine but it wasn’t quite enough. Will buy more to use elsewhere.
Amazing, issues in other reviews weren’t a problem.Anonymous reviewerThese are amazing. We nearly didn’t buy these because other reviews said they always revert to “off” when the power is shut off, and need individually pressing to turn on every single time, making smart plugs etc useless. Not true! They work beautifully. We’ve got them plugged into a single switched adapter, along with some ikea book case lights, and they all come on together with one switch. The light is soft and warm, the lights are tiny so perfect to back light or under light things, and they adhere with aggressively sticky but apparently reusable sticky pads. 10/10, I’ve already ordered loads more.
