IdealAnonymous reviewerI have used the kallax unit in my small living space for clothes, paperwork and some kitchen storage. I used draw units, cupboard doors and flexible slide out boxes. I put the legs on one unit to store shoes under. All work really well especially cupboard doors.

Ikea has started to cut too many corners and the unit doesn't last beyond the warranty Anonymous reviewerAt first, I was very impressed by the stylish design and appearance of this unit. However, after just a year, the main frame started to crack—on all sides, front and back, top and bottom. There has been no exposure to water or heat that could have caused this damage. The unit is placed in a newly built flat with no heavy items on or inside it—just lightweight objects like headbands and candles.
No one can explain why these cracks are forming, but to me, it seems like it could be related to moisture levels or the quality of the material used in its construction.
Ikea’s customer support offered to replace only one long side as a goodwill gesture, but that doesn't solve the problem, as the cracks are appearing on both sides of the main frame.
I would strongly advise against buying this unit, no matter how affordable or stylish it looks. Unfortunately, this is a case of "you get what you pay for." A lifespan of just one year is simply unacceptable.

love my Kallax unit. IAnonymous reviewerlove my Kallax unit. I have a black/brown one in bedroom. Bought this one for the living room and wanted to go lighter. My daughter builds up furniture for me and found it difficult to get the pieces attached before drawers to go in. Had help with the doors. Difficult because no holes for to guide you but understand the reason.
