Dowels snapped so that didn't help, and it wasn't always clear on what goes where.
I've used a tall 4 cube unit elsewhere in the house, albeit years ago. I don't remember it being this difficult to put together.

If any protective tape is left on the edges., it can easily be removed using a hairdryer to warm it up before pulling it off. Good gloss finish. Only small detail, we would have liked something to cover the outer screw holes.
