Good drawers for kales unit BUT not as good quality as beforeAnonymous reviewerI brought these for some spaces in my Kallex unit I’m Disappointed with the quality of the carcass they are thin and seem like heavy cardboard, I have some drawer units from a few years age the carcasses are same thickness as the drawer fronts very sturdy, these new ones are thin I don’t think they will stand up to constant use but time will tell

Less than I expect from IKEAAnonymous reviewerI have a 5x5 kallax and bought 3 of these in the past to go in alternate slots on the middle row. Those all worked fine. When I decided to order two more to fill the gaps, the inserts were both ripped and I had to tape back together. In addition to this it was impossible to install next to my existing drawer inserts as the screws hit into eachother. I don't know how others are managing this. I had to drill new guide holes. I love the kallax but this is much poorer than I have come to expect from IKEA.

What is fibreboard?
Fibreboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.
