Care

Wipe clean with a mild soapy solution.

Good, but used to be much better!Anonymous reviewerBought one black Ingolf recently to complement a set of five we had from a few years ago. We also bought a couple of white ingolf more recently. First of all, it *is* great that IKEA keeps their lines of furniture around for a long time generally, making it possible to add pieces of furniture as and when. Thanks! However, in this case, we discovered that the design has changed a fair bit, maybe a year or two or so ago, as far as we can tell from our purchases. The way the chair is assembled has changed completely (making it possible to ship in a much smaller box), it is slightly smaller, with a less satisfying, less curved back (one would not notice unless comparing side by side), the paint is less glossy, and the chairs are *much* lighter, about 4 kg compared with about 6 kg for the old ones. Also, some metal parts for assembly has been replaced by plastic ones of a type that tends to crack (but IKEA has helpfully sent spares for free in the past). All in all, used to be better!3

But the INGOLF Chair is very poor quality, If you want a chair that lasts a year, this will be fine. If you want a chair which lasts, don't buy this. We have had them for around a year. We bought the chairs a round a year ago. Broken already!1
