It is not a wokAnonymous reviewerAfter just a few proper uses, the coating has turned dark and looks burnt. This is not a real wok—it is more like designed for low-temperature cooking. A wok should be able to withstand high heat, but this product fails to do so. I followed proper usage and care instructions, yet the coating burn quickly, which is unacceptable. I believe this is a defect or a misrepresentation of the product's intended use.1

Coating appears burnt? Anonymous reviewerAbsolutely love this pan, but... I've only used it a few times and after maybe the second use, some points of the coating are turning dark. I assume this is down to the heat used, which, unfortunately, woks aren't known for their low temperature cooking! I'm hoping it's just a cosmetic issue, as the coating doesn't appear to have deteriorated properly yet. Time will tell. 4

Great wok, a breeze to cleanAnonymous reviewerThis wok takes a vast amount of food and the non- stick surface is excellent, which means you don’t need to use a lot of oil. My dishwasher (husband) loves it because it is so easy to clean. I’ve worn out two of these but only because they get used at least three times a week, they’re so versatile (stir-fry, curry, soup etc). I’m just about to order my third.5

Due to the deep concave shape it means no oil residue is left on the hob as it’s all contained.. hallelujah! It’s such an easy clean, I’m used to popping pans in the dishwasher but as the 365+ (solgel) versions are handwash only, it takes little effort and time to do a scrub in the dish tub. Great investment!5

What is sol-gel ceramic non-stick coating?

Sol-gel non-stick is often called ceramic coating and is an increasingly common replacement for other non-stick coatings in frying pans. It comprises mostly of silica and is created by applying a gel-like solution to the product and drying it in an oven. The result is a hard, glossy surface with non-stick properties. Sol-gel can be produced in different colours, it withstands high heat, is easy to use and clean – and allows cooking with little or no fat.
