Mandolin Anonymous reviewerThis is a great gadget to have. It's very sharp and slices vegetables really well. There's 3 settings to choose from that adjust thickness of cut, plus it comes with a safety guard. It's not bulky and can be stored away without taking up hardly any room.

great bit of kitAnonymous reviewerworks great, easy to use and easy to adjust, it could do wiith a bit of a thicker setting as others have said, but as for the reviews saying doesn't work or hard to adjust - this is not the item for you, give up before natural selection teaches you a hard lesson and you lose a perfectly even slice of finger or thumb. these things need to be treated with respect for what they are.
the price for what you get is outstanding, most places are double this price and non adjustable.

Worth a try! Anonymous reviewerI've had a number of Mandoline's and thought for the price this was well worth a try. Yes it's good, with an "adjustable gap" so that you can have thicker or thinner slices. It's not the easiest adjustment to make, but can be done. I also think it would have been a idea to supply it with a catch box, or to make it suitable to fit on top of IKEA's brilliant plastic storage boxes. But overall, worth a try.
