The chosen oneAnonymous reviewerI really wanted one of these space age mashers.apparently it’s a load of twisted metal.friends of ours got one and when I used it I had to have one.it’s so much easier to use than the ones we’ve had for years .great value and pleasant on the eye.not bad for a load of twisted metal5

PerfectAnonymous reviewerThis masher is much more use than the silicone one I had. It doesn't damage my non-stick saucepan & it's not too heavy for my injured thumbs5

Fabulous potato masherAnonymous reviewerI found this potato masher easier to use than the ones with holes. You require less force which is good for arthritis. No complaints about lumpy potato. Only stainless steel in contact with food which is healthier than plastic. Reasonably priced too. 5

Material

What is stainless steel?

Stainless steel is found in everything from building structures and cars to sinks and knives. It’s easy to see why it has so many uses. Stainless steel is hard and durable and has good resistance to corrosion – namely rust. It generally has a low nickel content, and for IKEA products we mainly use stainless steel that’s nickel-free. Like many other metals, it can be recycled again and again to become new, hardwearing things – without losing its valuable properties.

Quality

All our utensils can take the heat

Most of our plastic spatulas, whisks and ladles can take temperatures up to at least 220°C (428°F), which is higher than most normal cooking temperatures. So you can leave your plastic utensils in the frying pan for a while without worrying. If you have pans with a non-stick finish, we recommend you use plastic or wooden utensils. They're softer than metal and gentler on the inside of the pan.
