I particularly like they way they sit on top of one when the lids are in place rather than falling all over in the cupboard.

The flat bit stops your lap or shoes getting contaminated, the raised rim around the sides allows for contents to be piled higher than if they weren't there, and unlike other less accomplished bowls, its transparency means you can look at your food from all angles.
