Looks great but can not hold suspension files.Anonymous reviewerA lovely, sturdy and well made piece of furnature.
BEWARE: The bottom section is just a drawer and is NOT suitable for A4, letter, or foolscap suspenders (rail to rail this is 362mm) You can however buy a suitable frame and sit it in the drawer, just like you could for any other deep enough drawer.
This is not cheap so I bought it second hand from marketplace.4
More complex to build, but a fine result Anonymous reviewerCertainly one of the longer & more fiddly kits I've had from IKEA. But, the paint finish looks quality & the pieces robust, so it looks very stylish once completed. Being metal makes it particularly useful in an office (mine is now covered in magnets), plus the combination of storage methods that have been designed in (cupboards+filing drawer). Makes for a stylish, tidy but practical collection alongside my recently purchased IDÅSEN cabinet with doors & drawers.5
Nightmare putting together!Anonymous reviewerSo the finish is great however it is hands down the most frustrating build I’ve done. The screws are mixed up in a big bag and the holes are is stupid ridiculous places. I’m not sure if it’s just me but there were wholes that none of the screws even fit in to. 3
I wouldn’t have bought it had I known. Anonymous reviewerIt’s a lovely looking cupboard but it’s very difficult to make up. The instructions are awful and the screws are in the most awkward places here you literally have to feel your way. Taken a whole day and some tears 3
Brilliant trendy storage. Anonymous reviewerEasy to put together and feels very sturdy. 5
Excellent CabinetAnonymous reviewerSturdy and stylish in two great colours (bought one of each)
A bit fiddly to assemble as some of the screw position are awkward to access.
Apart from that all great.5
Idasen High CabinetAnonymous reviewerAssembled OK, looks great.
One word of warning, don’t buy the summera drop files as the file hangers are too narrow for the drawer.4
Great Cabinets - be aware that drawers are not all compatible with suspension/drop files.Anonymous reviewerI purchased three products from the Idasen range: the 'drawer unit on castors', the 'cabinet with doors and drawers', and the 'high cabinet with drawer and doors'.
Lots of reviews said that they were difficult to assemble, but I didn't find them as challenging as some suggested. There are a couple of screws that were a little fiddly to get in, and took some strength, but all three units went together okay.
They look great, and do offer lots of storage space, but it's frustrating that none of the drawers on the three units are actually the same, meaning they can't all be used in the same way.
The 'drawer unit on castors' holds A4 suspension files. The 'high cabinet with drawer and doors' holds the larger size suspension files. The 'cabinet with doors and drawers' cannot hold suspension files at all and instead just acts as a normal drawer.
This makes it challenging to use the units as office storage, which I feel is a disappointing design flaw.3
Idasen tall green cabinetAnonymous reviewerI bought this for A4 box files- be warned they don,t fit! You only find this out after putting it together! The cupboard hole size or door size is not mentioned and should have been- but the design and accompanying furniture suggests it would be suitable for office use- it is not!2
