So good I bought a second oneAnonymous reviewerI bought the Idanas bedside cabinet for my spare bedroom. I was a little worried as it was flat pack and I am not very good at practical work. When I got it all out of the box I was even more worried seeing all the parts. However the picture instructions were so good even I was able to assemble it. When finished I was so happy with the quality of the cabinet I went back to Ikea and bought a second one.

The easy close mechanism is perfect on one cabinet but not as good on the other one. I wish they did a glass top to fit as the Malm one is an inch too big. We had to get 2 made locally and they were twice the price of IKEA ones

Stylish and practicalAnonymous reviewerWe purchased 2 Idanas bedside tables to complete our bedroom furniture. We had recently purchased 2 x 100cm PAX wardrobes and the Idanas shelf unit. These are well made and finish off our bedroom refit perfectly. They are a good size. I like the height and the drawer space is very roomy providing lots of storage space.
Easy to assemble, sturdy, smart-looking bedside cabinet.Anonymous reviewerLike most flatpack kits, this is a heavy box, 15kg, so care is needed with lifting and handling. The carton is glued and has to be pulled apart to gain access. Packing is well-designed, so parts do not rub together in transit. There are 3 separate plastic pouches of parts which are opened in sequence as the assembly progresses. You can count the parts without opening the pouches; I recommend tipping them out into a small box or tray for ease of assembly after confirming that all the parts are present. Careful attention to the detailed instruction book is necessary to ensure correct assembly, but the result is pleasing. This product is worth the money.

What is fibreboard?
Fibreboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.
