The daybed must be combined with two mattresses, 80x200. They are placed on top of each other when you use the daybed as a single bed, and next to each other when you use it as a double bed.
Bed linen sold separately.
Slatted bed base is included.
2 ÅFJÄLL foam mattresses included.
The day-bed is not to be used as two single beds, it should only be used as a double bed when the bed base is pulled out.

Slipping mattressAnonymous reviewerI have this bed which I use as a single most of the time. It has 2 mattresses which you can use when double, the problem is when used as a single it is really uncomfortable as the top mattress slips . It should have some sort of Velcro or fasteners to stop this happening when using both mattresses come on ikea think of something to stop this happening .

Good option for guest roomAnonymous reviewerThis is great for a guest bed but I don’t recommend it for regular use. The foam mattresses included are very thin and make for an uncomfortable nights sleep over long periods of time. The bed was not too difficult to construct with 2 people but took a long time. The drawers are very spacious. If placed on a wooden floor the bed frame does tend to migrate, perhaps some sticky pads under the legs would help. Be careful not to stand on this bed or put too much pinpointed pressure in one area, as one of the slats snapped from doing this not long after assembly. We repaired it with a spare bit of wood.

A comfy additional bedAnonymous reviewerA very comfy day bed (sofa bed?). We talked to a very helpful lady at the Warrington store and she advised us to opt for the Vannareid sprung mattresses, not foam and I'm glad we did.
Assembly is a little daunting with the thirty-odd pages of pictures and few words - a style that has now become ubiquitous, unfortunately. There were no shortages and everything went together easily. You do need a lot of space for assembly, I was grateful that I built our bed in an otherwise unfurnished room.
There are a few things I'd like to comment on:
1. The bed slats are substantial, but made of a resinous softwood. This resin will mark the mattress. I cut some of the packaging cardboard and tissue to use as a liner.
2. The metal knobs fit onto the drawer fronts which close onto the front panel so they protrude. It's very easy to catch them when swinging your legs out of / into bed. I replaced them with leather tassels from our local cobbler.
3. Wider wheels would be much better for carpet.

Great bedAnonymous reviewerThis looks lovely, it’s great as a day bed and great as a king size guest bed. The drawers are spacious too for keeping your bedding guest ready. It’s comfortable and easy to set up. We had a slight issue with one of the mattresses the first time we used it, but after a call to ikea a brand new one was received the next day.

Easy, comfortable, a good night's sleep for guests!Anonymous reviewerThis was the perfect solution for my guest bedroom/office combo. The delivery was a breeze, and I put it together over two nights by myself. It would probably be quicker with 2 people but it's not impossible if you're on your own. I would highly recommend arming yourself with an electric screwdriver with alan key heads, because after that it was easy and straightforward. The 2 mattresses I purchased with it are light, very comfortable and the perfect size. I have this set up as a sofa/day bed during the day, and as a single bed with two stacked mattresses or pulled out as a double, depending on my guests. It looks great, it's not too bulky or space-filling. I am very happy!!

Solid, easy to build + great storage Anonymous reviewerI've had this bed for 1.5 years now and it is by far the best I've ever had. I built it on my own, with help only on one step toward the end. It was extremely straight forward. I've since moved and deconstructed + reconstructed the bed and it is as solid as ever. It was also very easy to do! For the first year of owning it I kept it as a single, with a standard 90x200 single mattress, but when I moved I had room for the full EU King option. Unfortunately, this meant I had to buy the matching mattresses for this bed, which, as it is a day bed, are very thin and not much comfort. Solved this by buying a beautiful mattress topper from a company named after an Asian bear, iykyk. The 3 drawers underneath are extremely spacious, adding another layer of utility to this bed. Best bed!
Excellent day bedAnonymous reviewerI hesitated about buying this as quite expensive but when we got it the quality was well worth the money. I am so happy with it. It is so well made and so comfortable to sleep on both for my grandchildren and adult guests. The only drawback back is the sheets for the beds can only be bought from ikea as others do not fit and I would have liked better quality sheets than the ones available. There should be a choose of qualities
